Arizona Unemployment Benefits
Unemployment insurance is a benefit you can apply for when you lose your job. It’s a replacement for some of the income you lost from losing your job. You can apply by using the ARRA telephone system or online. It’s necessary to have all your personal information when you apply for Arizona unemployment benefits such as your Social Security Number, your mailing address including city, state, zip code, and the country where you live. You’ll also need the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of all your employers; the date of the last day you worked, and if you received severance pay, lieu or notice or dismissal pay.
To qualify for Arizona unemployment benefits, your insured payment wages need to have been at least $1,500 in one of the four quarters of the base period, and your total base period wages at least 1 to ½ times in your highest quarter. Your paid wages in insured employment can also be at least $7,000 in total wages in at least two quarters of the base periods, with wages in one quarter equal to $5,987.50 or more. In certain cases, wages can be combined from more than one state to increase the amount of payable unemployment insurance benefits.

There are requirements that need to be followed if you want to receive Arizona unemployment benefits. You have to be mentally and physically able to work full time at a job you’re qualified for and have experience, education, or training. When full time work is offered to you, you need to accept it. It’s also required that you make an active and continuing effort to find work every week that you claim benefits. You will automatically be registered with the Arizona Virtual One-Stop Job Service. It’s important that you make sure any existing personal information is correct, or you could be denied or lose your benefits.
