Arizona Unemployment Eligibility

Unemployment insurance is a government program that provides a part of the income one loses when they have lost their job.  It is considered a stop-gap to bridge people during the period between jobs.  It is part of the Arizona unemployment eligibility as mandated by the Employment Security Law of Arizona.  These benefits work from the fund of employers, which means that employees do not have to contribute to the insurance fund to receive these benefits.

There are two ways that unemployed workers can claim Arizona unemployment eligibility.  Monetary eligibility refers to the baseline financial help based on the wages earned from employers as subject to law.  Non monetary eligibility refers to the reason for separation from the last employer.

The newly unemployed can receive Arizona unemployment eligibility once they submit the application form and all requirements check out.  To begin your unemployment claim, you can use the ARRA telephone system, or you can apply online.  Once you are approved, you can now benefit from unemployment insurance within the year.  This is called the benefit year.  During this year, you must continue to file claims to receive your partial unemployment income.
